Share your story with Abi

I’m writing a book about the women to whom Jesus met them when no human or husband could.

Not the marriages that fell apart publicly, and not the ones that look effortless from the outside. The quiet ones. The woman who is married and still lonely. The one praying by herself on the second row. The one who found out something she can’t unknow, and got up the next morning and made breakfast anyway.

Scripture is clear that the Church is the bride of Christ. What I’ve come to believe, and to experience, is that because I belong to the Church, Christ is a husband to me. He provides. He stays. He knows me. He heals what other people broke. He meets needs that no human was ever going to meet.

I want to share your story to women who are in the middle of those seasons..

Who I’m looking for

Women who are or have been married, and who can point to a specific season when God met them in a place their husband couldn’t. That might have looked like infidelity, an unsafe spouse, a husband who doesn’t share your faith, addiction, or simply years of emotional distance you couldn’t explain to anyone.

What I’m not looking for is the hate on your husband hot-line. This book isn’t about husbands. It’s about a God who was faithful when marriage was lonely, and about women who want their story to reach someone still sitting in it.

What participation looks like

Start with a short form, about ten minutes. I read every submission myself. From there, I’ll reach out to women I feel are a good fit for a recorded interview, usually forty-five minutes to an hour, by phone or video.

If your story is included, names and identifying details will be changed. You’ll sign a written release before anything is written, and you’ll read your section before it goes to print. You can step away at any point before publication.

If I don’t reach out, it isn’t a judgment on your story. It usually means I already have one covering similar ground.

Thank you for reading and consideration.
